Academic Goals.
To me, goals are very important in life. It is a way for us to plan a little bit of our future, piece by piece. Weather they are long term goals, just a small simple goal to get through the day. I like to be very organized and well planned; therefor I do make a set of both long term and short term goals. Academically, I have five main goals I would like to accomplish for this year.
1.To have a better attitude towards and about school. Instead of waking up thinking, “this day is going to be terrible”. I am going to wake up with a positive
attitude. Come to school with a smile on my face and not be so pessimistic.
2.Take school more seriously. For the past few years, I feel as if I have just been gliding through school with no sense of direction. So this year, I would like to concentrate harder and put more effort into my education.
3. Don’t settle for the average. I’m tired of just sliding by with my grades, this year I want to achieve greatness and go for the gold instead of settling with the bronze. I am going to push myself harder than I ever have to achieve success.
4.School is the most important thing, nothing else. With working and all of my extracurricular activities, I barely ever pay much attention to school. I am going to make school my first priority, without any distractions. Even if that means no more late nights at work trying to get extra hours in, or staying up
late working on a new art project or song.
5.Have fun! My final go for this school year is to have fun! I have been stressing a lot about this year with the harder classes and being so close to graduating, but I keep forgetting to have fun. Not take things so hard on myself. Yes, I need to buckle down, but give myself a day or two for myself so I don’t get so overwhelmed.
